Quarter panel?

Hi,

I have a 90 Max GXE. I was recently involved in an accident and my passenger side quarter panel is demolished. How much would another quarter panel cost painted and installed? Thanks.

Re: Quarter panel?

try the salvage yard..you might get luckey and find an exact match. Expect to pay b/w 75 and 150 for a quarter unless you pull the part yourself.

you cant pull the quarter yourself in a junk yard. It is a very time consuming task that involves removing the rear window and cutting out spot welds and then cutting the post somewhere...it is not a bolt on thing. If you get it from a junk yard they will just cut a big section of the car out and you have to get the quarter the rest of the way off by drilling out the spot welds and such. If you want to see what it looks like go to my page and look at the pictures of the work I did.

It will probably cost between 250-400 for a quarter. I was searching for one before I got my parts car and they were averaging around $300.

Now to have it installed and painted will cost a LOT. I did the work myself because I have a welder and the space to do it right...not to mention the experience of doing that kind of body work. It is very time consuming and I would say you are talking at a minimum of $1500 replaced and painted not including parts but I am not sure since I never got a quote. I knew I was going to do the work myself so never bothered. Just go to some body shops and see what they say.

Now if you were close to me I have a pass. quarter on my parts car and will sell the quarter and do the work for $800 but I kinda doubt your are around Mississippi.

Good luck though.

Yeah I need the money to finish mine

I dont think he would want to make the trip from Toronto. That would be a long way to go for a quarter panel replacement lol.

I live in Memphis which is not far from you...just don't have the money for it. Some focker was parking and hit my passenger side and then left . I was out of town, but if I had seen it, I would have happily introduced him to my fists.
