Why me?
I need help. When I had the alternator rebuilt, I decided to clean up my intake. I took it off (first mistake... 
) and went through hell getting the gaskets to put it back on. Finally got it on, and it runs like crap. I messed up the gasket when I put it back on, so I need another one. The main problem is that the car revs up by itself when I start it. I think it's trying to commit suicide. Anybody know what the problem is?

I cleaned out my intake and the gasket was waste , my local auto store did not have the gasket , i bought liquid gasket and sealed it worka fine for me . For the revs going up , mine use to do it alot , i used 93 gas went back to 87 works fine now . only when i put on the ac or defrost only does it rev up a little , goes from 700 rpms to 1000 rps does any one know why would the car rev up when turning on any of those two things. One thing , i got the car from my brother , he had work done to the ac to work , i have to turn it on with a seperate switch . anyway thats how I corrected my rev problem .

so there is no way to fix that ... i didnt know that was normal , in my other cars that never happened so i just felt it was happenning because my brother who had the car before me had his shop guy work on the ac and did some thing to it . owell thanks guys
