Next car after 91 GXE- 97 max or 02-03 altima?

I originally wanted the 92 5spd SE, but would it be cheaper to try and find a 97 SE 5spd max, or a newer 5 spd altima(245 hp, hauls in 2nd)?

its all opinion. I know a lot of people that have 3rd gens dont like the look of the altima. I however love it and if I wanted a car payment instead of having good paid off cars I would get one in a heartbeat.

I would definately get it over a 4th gen max because the styling is much nicer IMO.

and yes if I had the choice and the money to pay cash for it (if I can help it I will never have another car payment again) I would rather have the altima than a fully loaded and modded VE 5spd. Mainly because it would be my wifes car and I would have peace of mind knowing she shouldnt have any problems with it because it would be brand new.
