I posted a thread last week about me racing my friend in his newly bought 4th gen.

We finally got to it and he beat me....heh
From 0 to about 55 it was pretty close, he was 1/2 car length ahead but when we both shifted in 3rd almost simultaneously, he started to really pull ahead of me. Same in 4th.

I got roadkilled, he gets bragging rights.

I've got a 1993 SE 5spd
He's got a 1996 GXE 5spd

So it was a pretty good race

 

hmmmm. i would always think the VG 92-94 is faster then the new max 95-99 i mean all test show that 0-60 mph in 6.7 to 6.9 and the 4th gen max does 7.1. What do you think theyre wrong or??????????

 

95 5spd was tested on several occasion and both resulted in 0-60=6.6
The best 92-94 SE 5spd time I have heard of was 0-60=6.9 ,but looking at my MT it did 0-60 in 7.2 so theres your difference.
