Hey guys, I was wondering if an aftermarket y-pipe is really worth getting, and what are the are the best brands in your opinions. Thanks

buy it from www.warpspeedperformance.com It's a great quality product at a reasonable price.

Thanks. I am thinking about getting one, but I want to make sure before I spend the money. Hey D-sta, how do you like your Greddy SP exhaust? I'm also thinking about getting one of those too. I also have a 92 SE.

I started with a Greddy cat-back on my third gen. Doesn't make near the difference that a Y-pipe does. Largely just makes noise. Cat-back's, just mufflers etc. don't seem to do squat to a car that is n/a. The Y is much more of an improvement. When it's time to start on my 2K3 I will be starting at the front of the exhaust with the Stillen headers and Y and working back. Lesson learned.

If I get a y-pipe, should I get a cat-back too? I don't know if I want to spend $500 on a cat-back from greddy.

Well muffler's overall don't give hP just sound and help the flow. A cat-back will not give the same gains as a y-pipe. So when getting a Greddy you're paying for looks and a nice tone but it helps in flow since the diameter of the piping is a bit bigger than stock. I can't tell the difference between each of them because I had all three things installed at the same time (y-pipe, cat and greddy).
