I purchased a 93 maxima gxe with 100k miles on it last saturday. When we checked it everything looked ok, only to notice today that the radiator had no antifreeze in it. We found the main hose had a hole in it and saw the antifreeze dripping from there. We repaired the hole and refilled the antifreeze. For now it seems to have stopped leaking. The exhaust looked normal and the engine temperature never went high. It was only yesterday that I noticed the fan going on more often than usual.
I guess my question is, what are the chances that the head gaskets were damaged and how would I be able to tell. Im really hoping theyre not, and since I didnt really drive the car that much (160 miles in 6 days) that I havent done too much damage.
