STICK OR AUTO WHICH IS REALLT BETTER

I HAVE A CURIOUS QUESTION FOR EVERYBODY, IF YOU HAD A CHOICE TO GET A STICK OR MANUEL? WHICH ONE WOULD YOU GET. I UNDERSTAND THAT A STICK GIVES YOU BETTER GAS MILEAGE, BUT IN TRAFFIC I WOULD RATHER HAVE A AUTOMATIC, JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT EVERYBODY THINKS
Sticks are better if you like to go fast and row through the gears. Autos are the ticket if you're lazy or like to eat while you drive, he he. I wish they had a Tiptronic in the Max!

I'd pick manual
But there is no "best" or else they'd only sell one in cars because everyone would want that. Everyone like's auto's or manual for different reasons. And TAKE OFF CAPS ISN'T THIS ANNOYING TO SEE ME TYPE IN ALL BIG LETTERS?

Stick or not
ok, if you're shopping for a Lincoln town car...a floater, why bother with a stick. HOWEVER, if you love to drive and control the car...nothing better than a stick. I drive in clogged traffic everyday and sure an auto would be better for that, but for the fun times...thank god that you can still get a car like the Max in a manual transmission...I would never conceive of an auto max!
It all depends on what type of driver you are...
me I like to cruise most of the time so no need for a stick, BUT when its time to race I can see a stick coming in handy, but gimme $700 RIGHT NOW (to shave off .5 seconds of my stock ET) and I bet I'll be all up on a stock 5spd Max!!!
HUHAHAHAHA.....you 5spd guys can run but you can't hide........now if only I can come up with $700

I'll tell you this, once you've driven a stick, its very hard to adjust to automatic. You feel like the car is dumb and theres definitely a huge lack of fun when it comes to spirited driving, but in a place like NYC, sometimes stick could drive you crazy. Then again there are people like my father who make the sacrifice like someone else said. He would never ever buy an auto.
Tell you what though, out of all the auto's I've driven, I really enjoyed the GS400, IS 300, 93 SHO, when it comes to those cars I'd have no complaints with the auto.

i will not drive an automatic, unless its a Caddilac,
The main thing iwas looking for when i bought the Max, was a car that was avail in stick, i was looking into the g20 infinity, until i noticed a maxima in the lot, 5spd. I never new they came in stick. Took it for a drive, and well now i own it.
Even the new Lincoln LS is avail in stick with the v6 motor.
Thats my next option for a car when my Max dies, and only when its dead for sure.
My max is like auto sometimes, i'll hold it in 2nd anywhere from 15km/h up to 110km/h.
or in third from 30km/h to 160km/h
