Don't let the overdrive button stop you from buying a **** that you really like and will work on a Nissan. If you come across a **** that doesn't have a over drive button and will work with your application just run a seperate switch for the OD function. You can mount the new switch anywhere. Do you get what I'm saying?

Exactly, I'll just make it a little less obvious.

The one you see was the old school one from Courtesy where it had to be slightly bent to clear the intake plenum on the VE motor. A couple months ago I pick-up another one off eBay for about $25 shipped. It aint fancy, but if it's functional I'm happy (I've yet to install the new one)

Are you sure you want hat **** on your max? It looks cool, but think about the erganomics of it. I don't think it would feel right unless it was high up parallel with you elbow. In the standard location you would have to contort your wrist to use it.

well considering I would just use it to pull the car out of part to R or D then I dont think it will be a problem lol...its not like its a 5 spd where I have to shift all the time but even when I drive a 5 speed I usually shift with my hand to the side instead of on top.

To me it wouldnt be too big of a deal...just change from a T handle to a straight handle which is actually more comfortable to me considering I had basically a straight type auto shifter most of my driving life. My Chevelle had a B&M Pro stick which used a ball but had a lever you had to pull in the front of it so basically you had your hand straight up (like shaking someones hand) instead of on top of the shifter like it was a t handle(like holding a gun gangster style lol).
