cruise control is over-doing it
cruise control is over-doing it
okay let's say i'm on a flat stretch of highway and i set my cruise to 72 mph. when i go up a hill, it'll accelerate to over 75. when i go back down, it'll drop below 70. the cruise is over-compensating and it's annoying b/c if i'm in a line of cars, they'll pass me on the way down a hill and i'll blow by them on the way back up. repeat for 8-9 hours.
is there anything i can do about this? some cable that can be adjusted? my family also has a suburban and a bmw and neither of those cars have this problem.

Your CC is working as it should- its not perfect, but if everyone could drive as consistently as it can (+/- 2 to 3 mph) then driving on the highway would be alot more pleasurable. I notice the same thing you do- how other cars go slower up hills and faster down them. I think the majority of people out there either dont know how, or just dont use CC, and thats why their speed fluctuates so much more.
