stock injectors

stock injectors

anyone know about how much power the stock injectors can handle?

Depends on the color of the injector. Find the color of the injector and local dealer might be able to help you or local nissan performance shop, or post color and I'll find out. MIKE

i think it is black if i remember correctly. i wish there was a nissan performance shop around here but i can't find any. that would solve all of my troubles probably.

Sure only black on them? check closely and see if they are tan, purple. black is unknown to me.

not sure if I did the calculations right but stock 178cc(~16.9lb/hr) n/a VG injectors will be at 80% duty just making 200fwhp. I'm not sure if I used the right pressure at the rail(43 psi???)...matter of fact I don't even know if I calculated it right at all , too much math for the summer time, my brain is spinning --->

thanks for the link. i was right, there is no way the stock maxima injectors will even be close to handling the vg30et. damn the s-afc for not working!

thats what I've been trying to say for the last year or so...its not gonna happen using an FMU, RRFPR or what have you. plain and simple they suck ***, I could **** more than 178ccs!

Yeah if you have a turbo car look for some z32 tt injectors those are direct drop in. But need a way to control them. Interested in your car mtcookson but all your pics in your profile don't work. Got another site with your car.

178cc? Are you sure? That seems like an awful small injector. A stock 85-89 MKI MR2 (1600cc four w/118hp) uses a 240cc injector. The 88-89 MKI SC (1600cc supercharged w/145hp) uses 365cc and the MKII Turbo (2.0L Turbo four w/200 hp) uses 440cc.

So the 200hp turbo uses a total of 1760cc to fuel it. At 178cc you're only providing 1068cc for the same horsepower level.

99.9% sure! I've read it enough times on various boards and if I can remember correctly my report from a year ago I got from RCE stated the same. even my puny Teg uses 240cc'rs...soon to be upped to DSM 450s

PUt it this way the z31 injectors go like this : Turbos are 259cc/min and non-are 160cc/min. Not z32 but gives you an idea.

forced induction engine have a higher bsfc (brake specific fuel consumption) n/a's usually are around .50 and forced induction engines are around .65.

i actually have the injectors off of the vg30et which are 259cc or so but the stupid apexi s-afc 2 isn't controlling them like it should. it's not changing anything at all, except for the amount of money in my wallet... i'll try sending it back and getting a eprom burner instead and burn my own ecu program. if i can get the hang of it i can burn eproms for people for way less that jwt.
