My $3,500 mod challenge....

I've got a pretty tight budget...$3,500. I'm going to try to hook up my Maxima. I've got an '89 Black SE Auto.

Yes, I know i could get a VE 5-spd, but I'm more interested in looks at this point...

Here's my wishlist...

Please feel free to comment, good bad or otherwise...

In no particular order...

~Full body kit, Stillen or Wings West

~New Paint, Black

~Interior 2-tone leather upholstery kit

~cat-back SS exhaust

~Decent stereo system

~Tints

~Suspension (springs and shox)

~e36 heads

I plan on doing some more "minor" mods such as interior paint accents, Intake, clean engine bay, regulators, etc.

It'll be tough, a GOOD but economical paint job is going to determine the outcome of this project. Hopefully I can find one for less than a G.

My objective is to get my Maxie looking real good, and running strong. I don't care if it's not the fastest around, but I want to be able to hold my own at shows and meets.

Any and all feedback is appreciated...Vin

Yea, sitting on 18" Giovanna KYOTO (silver finish) with Toyo Proxes T1-s (235/40/18)

So thats one less thing I have to worry about.

veejayes--

I am with you. Even though I drive my a$$ off, I like to have a very nice looking car. My SE is going to be my "baby."

Like you, I also am looking for a cheap paint job. Even though I really don't want to go there, I may end up doing the MAACO thing.

Yea, I might end up at Maaco too...maybe I'll just do all the prep work myself, and prime everything..

I heard their paint is the same stuff as the "good" shops..Its their prep and finishing techniques that make the job suck..I gotta look into that...

We see this same lame thread at least twice a week. Monday it was $10,000, today it's $3500. Last week it was $2000.
