High Milage Contest

The winner wins nothing but pure admiration for their maxima.

My 91 maxima has 283,000 miles on it's original engine and still can barry the needle with no problems at all.

That's awesome- I thought I had alot with 175,000. Gives me hope that mine will last a whole lot longer. Give us some tips on what your maintenance routine has been, please!!

Just a general tune up once every 4-5 months. Oil changes on the dot. Fluid flushes and stuff. Just the basics. I don't run it into the ground and I don't race it.

Only thing I have ever replaced on it that needed replacing was the Alternator. Thanks to the people here it was a breeze to do by myself. Took me about an hour to do it (first real thing other my suspension I did myself).

I keep good tires on it and treat it like it's my first born. Giving it a good name also helps. My maxima is named Maximoto. Always performs well when i talk to it aswell.

on the '93 I had the pleasure of breaking it into the 6 digits.
the '92 has 125k on it. If all goes as planned, we have many years ahead.
