Does anyone know how to remove the resonators? I read that someone had done it but noone really said how. How does this help the car? Or it really just something for showing off?

In order to remove it you have to have a cutting torch and a welding tool and a new pipe. I am going to have mine done probably this week, maybe even tommorow. I'll tell you how it goes. You need to go to a muffler shop like midas and it will run around 35-40 dollars.

What exactly is the result of removing the resonator? Will it have more HP? Be louder? I guess I'm wondering if there would be any negative effects.

40 bucks isn't bad if it adds some hp.

It will allow the car's exhaust to flow slightly more freely, adding 5 at most hp. It will also make the car louder, as the resonator is basically another muffler. If you really want hp gains get the high-flow cat for 110 and the resonator removed, that will add around 10-15 hp for around 150 dollars.

That sounds nice. I'm in a 93gxe stock, so I could use 10-15 HP. How much louder is it? I mean am I obnoxious loud, or even "wife thinking Im lame" loud, or just cooler loud?

Take it to midas?

A resonator is pretty much a glass pack. Same thing. If you look through one, it looks like a thick straw with holes on the inside all the way from one end to the other. It helps tone down the noise of the exhaust as it comes out of the engine. Max's have these from the factory and IMO leave it on. I don't beleive that you will feel, or achieve for that matter, any hp gains. Again, this thing has NO restriction in it and therefore will not provide any hp gain, it is for noise reduction purposes only! Spend your money on a flow through muffler and/ or having you converter cut off, but I think the muffler alone will help achieve what your looking to do, along with a K&N filter, you should be happy!
