transmission swap possible?

transmission swap possible?

I was reading around in this forum and want to know if the VE tranny bolts on the VG without any modifying. Also is it stronger than the VG tranny? Are they alike? Do anyone recommend such swap?

Just sell the VG for a VE or VQ!

I'm VG all the way, I'm only looking for a better tranny. Mine had to be rebuilt 6mos ago, it was basically my fault. What can I say I have a heavy foot

everything you said above is correct, however I believe you need either new spindles or just new hubs. The axles are beefier too.

So, NJ- does that mean it needs to be rebuilt again, or are you just looking to hedge your bets for the future???
