Control Arm Bushings

You guys still doing the control arm swap? Mine are toast. Also, I know there was some difficulty involved in buying the bushings outright without getting the whole transverse link. Haven't researched that yet, but I thought I'd throw it out there if anyone is bored. Let me know about the exchange deal. Thanks

Re: Control Arm Bushings

I just purchased my control arm bushings from Kaleb at Courtesy Nissan. Just go to their parts page and email him about them and let him know that you are an org member and you only need the bushings.

I just read Matt's write-up at 4DSC.com. Do I really have to do the oven-freezer thing if I have a hydraulic press? Are the clearances that tight that you f'it up if you try to cold press that bushing in?

I got mine from Kaleb and I tried the freezer method with the arms in the oven but to no avail. They are very tight and without a press almost impossible. I was able to do all the bushings on the suspension in the rear and the rear bushing on the control arm but not the front one on the control arm. I had a local machine shop do it for me and he only charged me $20. Unfortunately for me my car was just totaled today.
