ok im getting the warpspeed y pipe and the g-reddy cat-bak. now im wondering how should i go about installing them. Should i take them to a muffler shop and get everything done in one shot. Or should i install the y pipe myself and go get my cat-bak done at a shop. Or should i do everything myself then go to a muffler shop and get my muffler welded on.

 

do it all yourself. It is a full bolt on deal...no welding involved with the muffler.

Just coat all the nuts and bolts with a pb blaster or something the night before you do anything.

 

What are you talking about getting the muffler welded on?

Do you have a fake GReddy or something?

lol no i dont have a fake greddy cat-bak i know that you can bolt everything on but i was just wondering where the intersections that are bolted instead get them welded and use no bolts i hope this makes sense

 

why should i coat all the bolts the night before with pb blaster is this for preventing rust. also where do you get pb blaster from

 

It's not for preventing rust dude, it's for freeing up the rusted bolts because they are tight as hell and rusted on.

i just got my wsp y pipe and high flow cat via fedex last morning. funny thing is thta they kept declining my cc, then all of a sudden i am missing 390 bucks from my account and i have this big ol box in my front door. thsoe ***)kers charged the card now since i was telling them to do it 3 weeks ago, and now that i need the money for something

 

pb blaster works better than WD-40; Liquid Wrench also works well (I got some of that from Home Depot)

 

hey guys i just got my cat-bak today in the mail and you dont have to weld anything so mybad about asking if i had to weld it

 

wonders how much to install it.. a complete y pipe catback, i am about to get it installed for 100 bucks is that worth it or should i do it myself.

 

well i would put aside 3 or 4 hours to do it because some of those bolts arnt going to come off very easy and if you dont have an impact wrech you my want to rent or borrow one so if you make less than 25$ and hour its worth your time to do it yourself but expect to run into a few problems especialy if your exhaust has never been taken off since new

 

do it yourself! its only about 10 bolts and mine werent even on that bad. nothing the breaker bar couldnt fix. Also all the bolts are straight forward, no wierd angles, nothing. just drive up on some ramps or use jack stands, its very easy.
