A/C belt seems too big (UDP install problems)

It was time to change the timing belt again so I decided to put a UDP on my 89 GXE. I bought all the recommended Gates assessory belts that unorthodox recommends. I was able to adjust the PS / H20 belt and Alternator belts to the proper tension but I've used up all the travel in the A/C belt (K040460) tensioner and there is still too much play. Anyone else have this problem and in so, what size Gates belt did you substitute?

should be able to drop to a 40455 belt... I think that's what the AC belt is on my SE with UDP...
Just take that belt back to the parts store and tell them it's a tad too long. they will be able to get you the right belt.

IIRC, all of the belts on my UDP just BARELY fit inside the old OE sized belts. I.E. lay it flat on a table and try to fit the new belts inside the old ones. they should all barely fit. I had to curve one just a bit, but otherwise they all fit.
should be a guide for ya.
