Caster angle off after Eibach Drop

If Anyone has had trouble with their caster alignment after they lowered their maxima please let me know. Sears told me they couldn't adjust the caster and its off a little so that it pulls slightly to the right. They told me I have to goto a frame shop and have them bend the strut. To me that doesn't sound right. Let me know what you think. Thanks! I know there isnt an adjustment at the top of the struts. I had it aligned 1 month before the springs and it was fine, but with the shorter springs it has thrown off the angle, if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know. Mike

I've dropped 2 maximas with Eibachs and neither has had alignment problems. Both were dead on. Take it to a private shop.

caster?! that's not usually off.

perhaps your CAMBER is off after drop..not caster unless you have a bent control arm, worn control arm bushing, or got into an accident.

No its not the camber its the cross caster angle. They checked, and I checked out my control arms and bushing and all was fine with those. The car has never been hit before.

I have a print out of the alignment. My Caster angle is 0.4 degrees for the front left and is supposed to be set at 0.5-2.0 degrees. The front right is set at 1.0 degrees and is supposed to be 0.5-2.0 degrees. The Cross Caster angle is -0.6 which is what Sears said is causing the drift to the right. ??????????

caster won't cause a drift, unless you've got other problems causing the car not to sit at the same ride height on both sides. caster is a measure of how much your strut leans forward or back. it shouldn't mess too much with the car drifting left or right.

Well I was thinking if the left side is to far forward then it would be pushing againt the right side and push it that way.

not necessarily. I would check your struts and suspension bushings though. the ONLY way the caster can get messed up is if you're in a wreck or if your suspension bushings are worn.. if you car has over 100k miles and they haven't been replaced, then they ARE worn- whether they look like it or not.
