Subwoofer install pics

Here are 2 pics of my Resonant Engineering subs. They are very loud and extremely clean at all volume levels. The bass has a good sharp edge on the notes. The second pic is a pic of them moving.

oh.. btw.. you better fix the weatherstripping on that trunk, or you'll end up having a trunk full of sawdust.

Hahaha funny guy, not. Whats wrong with just wanting to show people what i did. People on this org did ask to see it to. Dont tell me to fix my weather stripping which is from a previous owner when u need to fix your attitude toward other maxima drivers. This is a community not a bashing site.

don't get your panties in a wad.... if you post something, I'm allowed to say whatever I want about it. If you don't like it, you're free to ignore it or leave. You're also free to whine about it, as you are here. Looks like the rest of the guys thought it was pretty funny, so I'm not too worried about it.

The weatherstripping wasn't another poke at you, but a general comment I noticed after I looked at the pics... better get it fixed before the water ruins the box. I've built dozens of sub boxes, and I know how long they take to make. mine usually take 40-50 hours by the time I'm done cutting, trimming, gluing, screwing, sealing, painting, covering, wiring, etc.
I'd be PI$$ED if a simple preventable water leak ruined a box I spent that much time to build.

I dont travel much, in the pics it is actually pulled slightly out. It sits back a few more inches.

40-50 hours, Matt!?!?? What're you doing, milling/creating the wood/mdf/formica/whatevadaflock you use, yourself?? The ONLY time I've taken that long to build a box (and I, too, have built dozens of boxes...), is when I'm using 'glass or making something REALLY exotic.

(but in all fairness, you DID say usually....)

But yeah, you've got a point about taking time to build something only to have something simple destroy all your hard work....

trying to remember how long it took me to make Marco's old box for his JL12W6s... I think I spent about 15-20 hours on it.
here's a couple pics of the box I built for my old GXE.
http://www.ee.utulsa.edu/~mblehm/pic...nstruction.jpg
http://www.ee.utulsa.edu/~mblehm/pic...nus_carpet.jpg

this one again didnt' take that long.. it was a pretty simple one.

The ones that have taken me that long were multi-angle ones like the box I put in a friend's blazer. it fit 6 15s in a big concave area facing toward the back door. the amps were sunk into the wood in front of each sub they were driving, then more across the top for the front and rear speakers. EQs and crossovers were built into the back of the box (facing the front of the truck just behind the rear seats) so that you could tweak them from the front seat. they had detachable cords on them, so you just unhooked them and pulled them up front and could tweak while you were listening. that was a fun project.

Hey Matt, when do you think you will get around to updating some of the pics on your homepage? New wheels, pics of the amp rack and install?

I was going to the other day, but soon as Kelly saw me playing on the computer, she slapped another 5 page list of stuff to fix. I'll get around to it someday.

here's a taste..

Looking good bro...

"but soon as Kelly saw me playing on the computer, she slapped another 5 page list of stuff to fix."
For some odd reason this sounds familiar, oh yea. Thats it, I'm married.

That reminds me how bad I need to drop mine. What setup are you running? (I forgot)

It's on the loooong list of things to do. first is to finish the engine.. then to repaint and fix the tint.. new wheels, sorting out the suspension, and finishing the stereo are also on the list.
