Automatic VS. 5 Speed SE

Ok this is a new thread so i expect a great deal of feedback. I am looking to buy a 3rd generation maxima SE. I don't know if i should get a auto or a 5 speed. The auto would make the car a cruiser that id try and make somewhat luxurious and still have the engine pack a punch for an auto. The 5 speed would be going pretty much all out with performance and getting new cold air intake, suspension, all the basics, maybe an engine swap or a turbo, and later after i get used to it deffinately NOS. I would like to be able to have a hand free enough with a 5 speed to drink and change the station and such. People with 5 speeds is that a problem or inconvenience for you? Hit me back everybody! Need feedback
