I finnaly got the whole conversion complete. The car runs so sweet now. It definitely runs a lot quicker. I'm wondering what the car is gonna run now with the 5-speed. I raced some stock 5-speeds with my auto before and beat them so I'm asuming that I'll run pretty good times with the NOS. I guess now you cant really say that no GXE's have 5-speeds. I'll get some pics up of the car soon.

thats great!!!

Dude, just be glad you got your car back in one piece. LMAO!! How are you fixing the trunk lock?? Did they end up fixing it themselves or did they just pay you for the damage?

Peace,
ICE

Thats cool.......

What kind of clutch are you using, if your running a stock clutch I can tell ya now its gonna slip with nitrous. BTW you now have picked up around 8-14fwhp with this auto > 5spd swap too hehe .

As of now I have the stock clutch in the car. I have the ACT 4 puck clutch coming in the mail. Havent hooked up the NOS yet so I dont know how much the clutch would slip. The car is so taken apart right now I have other things to hook up first. The only thing that I dont like is that now I dont have the locking differential. I heard that they dont make those for the VG30 engines. Is that true. Either way the cars a lot quicker. I'm hoping that the clutch will help out a lot since it doesnt grab too hard with the stock one.

Might as well shave the fly-wheel while your installing the new clutch. The fly-wheel will help out with power distribution. <-- Definitly a noticable mod.

Man that 4 puck might be too much......

The street strip ACT should hold with no problem. If you had the chance see if you get a VG30DETT flywheel and clutch. That way you get a clutch that can take over 300hp at the wheels and still have stock pedal feel.
