window regulator

I have a replacement window regulator for the front passenger window on my 94 GXE. I didn't realize that my old motor wouldn't work on the new regulator. Of course, a new motor is $350 CDN.

Is there an obvious course of action here? I think I can repair the old regulator but I'm not confident of that.

Why did they change the drive dog so the old motor won't work?

Thanks,

Tom

I've now changed all four regulators in my SE and was able to use the old motor in all four. Make sure you have the right part.

Same here

I have a 93 SE and I have changed two of mine so far, including the one you are talking about. I have successfully re-used my old motors both times.

Why not.... I have a 94SE and like everyone else the new regulators work in the old motors. You need to send it back.
