The PCV valve is located on the intake collector...above the letters that say V6 3000...next to the coolant bleed valve....it's the fitting that one must unscrew in order to replace it. To check the operation of it, leave engine running, unscrew the valve and leave attached to hose. You should hear a hissing sound from the valve if it's working properly and if you place ur finger in front of the valve you should feel a strong vacuum. If not then time to replace it...no more than $3 and it's a good investment for the engine.

Does it have that vacuum, now that u replaced it? Not to insult ur intelligence but was the car running when you did the test. Just make'n sure.
If no vacuum then I would check all ur vacuum lines for any leaks. Good luck!

Which "brand" of pcv valve did you install?

I installed a Purolator one and it did not seem to screw in properly.

Did they give you a discount?

If yes, how much was the the discount?

Their website quotes a different price.
