Remanufactured auto trans for $895

One of you guys has to try this outfit and report back if it is as good as it looks. Reman'd auto trans for $895 plus shipping and core a few hundred more.

I paid over $2K when mine finally went out, and it made my wallet hurt to have it fixed, I knew it couldn't have cost anywhere near that. Looks legit, an ebay store: http://www.stores.ebay.com/id=10785212&ssPageName=L2

Search for maxima...

It's probably as good as getting it rebuilt by some local shop. I just had mine done for $1800, so I know how you feel. It's probably a real good deal if you could install it yourself or know somebody who could do it for you cheap. I don't have the facilities to do it, so i had to have it rebuilt by a shop.

That would be my take also. I particularly liked the part about "...ALL wearable parts are thrown away and replaced with NEW American Made Parts, this includes, CLUTCHES, BANDS, GASKETS, SEALS, O RINGS, SEALING RINGS, BUSHINGS, FRICTIONS, LIP SEALS, SYNCHRONIZERS, BEARINGS. ( Note, we only use BORG WARNER"

Please report back what you find. It'd be a messy job to replace but if you have someone rebuild it for you you end up losing your car for a week anyway. Maybe steam clean the whole engine-trans before you start crawling around under it, less goo...
