I have the K and N air filter and a round metal smooth thing here and some hard wear, is this all? Is there a tube or something?

Stillen Intake

That's it. You complete remove the stock air cleaner box up to the mass air sensor. The gold colored bracket goes underneath to hold it all up. The two lower screws go through the bracket on the throttle body side and then through the flange on the mass air sensor. They then go into the round adapter that came in the kit. The two upper screws just go through the flange and into the adapter. The K&N filter goes out over the adapter and you should have a hose clamp to tighten in down. That's it! It will take you longer to get the stock air cleaner box and ram air tube out than to put the Stillen unit on. Have fun!

got it in

I took me an hour to copmlete. 45 of it was taking the old stuff out. It seems a little quicker but my exhaust is so loud i cant hear it. The top part of the filter is rubbing my hood insaltor..... I plan just cutting away part of it......... ant suggestions on something else.

Yes, it is pretty tight in there. What you can do is take the suppport bracket and try to bend in a little further past 90 degrees. This will pullthe filter height down slightly. Better than messing with the hood insulation. Congratulations! Now you're breathing with both nostrils.

My car had a hole in the strut tower right behind wher the air filter is now. I just attached mine in there. That's one thing that I never figured out what it was.
