the motor is different so you cant use the CAI BUT you can use the catback because the catback is the same for all 3rd gens.

I just went from a 91 SE auto to a 92 SE manual. I cant wait to see the power difference! So I'll change over the exhaust. The first thing I need is a CAI. Whats the best one for more horsepower?

the Y pipe won't fit. it hits the shifter linkage on the VE stick. been there, tried that.
the CAI won't fit, as you already know.
catback will be fine.

Call up Cattman and ask for a "seconds" CAI. It will have a few minor visual blemishes, but will save you 40 bucks. I'm installing my Cattman CAI this weekend. Also check out Warpspeed....but they have been on backorder for along time.

Hey, Matt --

are the warpspeed y-pipes different for VE/VG? Or different for auto/5-spd?

I am assuming they are different for VQ, too, but on their website, they list them all in the same column.

I am going to buy one soon for my VE 5-spd and I wanted to make sure I get the right one.

the warpspeed y-pipes are different for each motor. I have the mandrel bend Y for the VE. The vg pipe is different.
