good because our gen maximas can't use all those nice obd-II readers. bad because it costs a grip!

I've been contemplating getting the ConZult for a while now, but at $450 I thought again.
This is their latest version, with the PDA compatability, but it will still run with a laptop/desktop. I would be cool to get it, and at a meet you could charge $10 for full diagnostics

Last time I checked up on the ConZult they said they were 'working on a maxima compatible version'. Have they actually finished it yet?

There's a similar item out there called the "Techtom", that does essentially the same thing. One of the guys on the Stanza board has one, and it comes with a small screen...here's a link to some info-

I think it's about the same price, though...expensive, but totally cool !

Hey Broncoguy, I've seen those before. pretty cool, but I dont think I would have a use for it (well atleast not right now).
A while ago I was looking into building OBD-II readers, that was pretty simple, but I couldnt really find anything on Pre-OBD-II, then again at that time I was between 3rd gen Maxima's and was only working on my dads 98 Durango and 2000 5spd SE.
When i get a chance, I'll probably look into scanners we can use on our cars, granted mine we only designed for Windows, not Palm OS

it says that the automatic transmission is not supported though. i emailed the company and they said they werent sure if it worked on a maxima and never heard of anyone using it on one. does this mean it wont work at all or it just cant read transmission information like the conzult for the Z.
