Since I dont know for a fact because I havent ever tried it, or heard of it being tried on a maxima I'm just going to go with this idea for fun.

When people have broken studs and leaky exhausts, some mention lack of power, or once the problem is fixed, the talk about all the extra power that was missing that they got back.

just an idea.

they would kill low end power but it should gain high end so you leave it closed for first gear and then flip the switch for the rest

thats a rip off....a Qtec or Mccord($105) e-cutout paired with a Flowtech Y-split(you can find them for $20 @ jegs) will cost much less than that.

Man, I didn't know this thread existed until I did a search just a while ago. Yes, I'm planning on having either a Mccord or QTEC on a Flowtech before I go to the track next. My next track visit will be probably Nov or Dec. But when I get the cutout on, I will test it locally at the track in Vegas to see exactly what changes it has in 60' and trap speeds. I will probably keep it close on the launch and then immediatly open it after I launch. It depends on how it helps or hurt at certain times on the track.
