I found the fuel hose just along the filler tube, connecting the fuel tank and somewhere, leaks when the car is running. I know from my Chilton manual that it is not fuel outlet or fuel return hose, it is bigger than them. I have sealed the leakage with gasket maker, hoping this will let me driving to AZ or dealers. Could anybody tell me what is the name of this rubber so that I can buy it tomorrow and replace the leakage one.
I found this problem after I drove 20 miles. My car is 94 gxe.
Any advice will be highly appreciated.

walking in the dark here, but wouldn't it be the tube that goes from the tank to the filler tube? I believe its to prevent backups or 'gulping' from fuel rushing down into the take and air rushing out of the take out of the same opening.

just a thought

It's called a vent hose or evaporative hose. It's a common problem to get old and crack and start to leak. Let me guess, it only leaks when you top the tank off?

If it leaks only when the tank is full, then the extra fuel is sloshing around and going into this old and busted vent hose. Many people have been able to replace it just by going to Pep Boys and finding the correct size hose, cut it to length and there ya go. Fixed! I think it's a type of "fuel" hose. That's what it will say on the side of the hose. Good Luck.
