Brakes, Brakes and More Brakes

I have a 92 Max and love it to death but the brake issues are terrible. I had the rotors replaced, new pads etc. but I am getting a lot of shimmy when I apply them. Especially at higher speeds. Is there a history of this? Also It seems like I am not getting the full life of the pad. I am the only one who drives this car and I am not one to ride the brakes or do a lot of herky jerky driving. Does anyone have any ideas.

if you replaced the rotors and the pads yet you feel your not getting the full life of the pad and or a "shimmy" i would check the operation of the caliper and make sure its not seized for number one and just make sure that they are functioning properly. does it feel like it pulls to one side when you brake ? if it does that check your brake lines (the rubber line from the car to the caliper.) it mostlikely will need to be replaced.
