Hey everyone --
This is my first time posting to this message board. I joined a couple weeks ago and just wanted to express a bit of gratitude for the useful information people have provided here. I just replaced an injector in my Max using little more than the information provided on Bryan's page http://(<a href="http://members.csin...h/maxima/</a>) and the advice here. I have very little car-repair experience (aside from the replacing 3 (!) window regulators -- here's a write-up I found for when this happens to you http://www.a1electric.com/maximareg.htm). Despite some BS from the parts stores, found this to be a rewarding and actually fun expereince (... also despite spending six hours + scraping 120k mi / 12 year gasket of the lower plenum / TB).

I have one suggestion -- since 3rd generation maximas (for example) are prone to a few specific problems, how about placing all the detailed, photo write-ups people have done in 'shop talk' so they are easily accessable -- I spent considerable time searching for this kind of information.

I believe some of the most common problems are:
*fuel injectors
*clock (no display)
*window regulators
*the (factory) alarm going off unexpectadly -- mine would randomly go off at usually the worst times (3am -- for no reason, etc.) usually twice a day.
*The exhaust manifold bolts (I actually don't have THIS problem!)
*Replacing a muffler
*Replacing a timing belt (I need to this soon!)

Just my $.02. What do you guys think?

Also, if anyone would like me to do a write-up on this I'd be happy to (I figured there are enough already.. I unfortunately don't have a digital camera, however.)
