the problem that wont go away

So i finally got my studs taken care of, all 12 replaced....The mechanic claimed 5 were broken. Anyhow, I got my car back, drove to nh and the car just started ticking again, the day after getting it back from the mechanic.I dont get it. Both manifolds were machined...im just glad there is a garrantee on his work.

What did you pay to have the work done? My car has the ticking leak noise from the rear manifold, I'm gonna have my mechanic/machinest fix the studs put the headers on and full valve and head grid job too. Hope every thing works out.

If your studs did break again, you might want to look into new motor mounts. If your motor moves around more than it should, that can cause additional stress on your studs.

It's more likely that there is a bad gasket in there.
