Foglight Switch

I tried searching for a thread on this and I came up empty. My problem is that I can't find the foglight switch. I do have fogs on my car but I want to know if they work or do I need to replace the bulbs. Can someone just tell me where the switch is and what it looks like. BTW I got the car w/o a manual so I am kind of lost. Maybe I should order one form Courtesy Nissan. I believe I can purchase it off of their website.

the foglight switch is on the left hand side next to the cruise control. the headlights need to be on in order for the fog lights to kick on. unless you do the wire conversion that i did then they will work off the parking lights instead.

I think there are some on ebay. That would probably be a lot cheaper than from a dealership. If there isn't one right now, there probably will be one.

you sure you're not looking at the blinkers in the front bumper? your profile lists your car as a GXE which didn't come with fog lights stock (unless they paid extra for that option or someone else installed them later). I've heard of several people mistaking them for foglights before.

Like the others said, if you do have the switch for them, it'll be right next to the cruise control switch to the left of the steering wheel. If not, there will be a blank cover there.

Jap spec Nissans work differently - switch on the fog lights & they also activate the park lights.
NZ regs state that fog lights should switch off when you're on high beam (same as Europe) - except we have so many used Jap Imports that they don't enforce that (old) rule.
NZ spec Max's didn't come with fog lights as an option - except a special 1993 pre-face lift model where they were standard (called Silhouette). We don't even have the wiring!

I do have foglights. I turned them on but they were very dim. So what is the foglights bulb size? BTW the switch for the foglights look like a lightbuld with squiggly lines running thru it. Thanks. The foglights were the only other option that came with my GXE.

the bulb size in the foglights are H3. you can access the bulbs by removing the two screws behind the lights themselves and pull the glass casing out then you can access the lights. be forwarned the screws are NOT easy to get to with a regulat screwdriver. you may need a right angle screwdriver.
