i will be rebuilding vtc's soon !

hey just wanted to let everyone know that on sunday november second i will be rebuilding my vtc's. it seems that there is a lack of info and pics on the subject as far as 1) where they are and 2) how they come out. There is a TSB on rebuilding them but not how to get them out of the car. so im going to take pics and try to give you guys a write up step by step (for the people who dont know) how to do this in a days work. Ill start off by saying this. i bought used ones off ebay then ordered the rebuild kit from nissan. im having nissan put the new springs in so i know it done right. so all i have to do is pull them out and put them in !! more to come when i actually do it. Ill also be putting in my new UDP and my new CAI that day also, i cant wait !!!

put each mod on seperately... trust me, thats the fun in modding. You get a sense for what each part did.

I'll try to find the pics I took of my engine tear down for you.

If you have a FSM (which you should since you are going to be tackling a big task), the EM section for the timing chain will give you the guidance that you need. In the '94FSM, the pages are EM-53 thru EM-66. For a half-azzed illustrated parts breakdown of the VTC, see pages EF & ec-175 and 176.

Good luck with your rebuild.

This is in the stickies right?

But get yourself a Nissan FSM BEFORE you do anything else.

No problem Eric. Actually pretty good info but as an addition to the fsm.

You know why it looks easy? Because they just show the front side. Muhahahahahaha!
