ok, now first off... if you dont like altezza tail lights, then by all means dont post in here.. we all know that with anything, there will be some people that DO like them, and some people who dont.. This post will be for POSITIVE info on them, and hopefully not negative..

Now since that is out of the way..
has ANYONE heard info about altezza's for the third generation maxima? Ehey even make the things for my g/f's 91 accord, but so far, i have not been able to find any info out on them for my car.. maybe if enough of us *****ed about it then they would make them, but personally, since i haven't seen any max's with them, i would like to be the first one in the area to have them on my car. (stock left tail light has a tiny crack in it, so either i get to replace with factory, or look into this altezza subject) Maybe if someone that worked for one of these companies that make them owns a maxima then we can get to them somehow... but i know that i want them.. damnnit, they even make them for mustangs now, but not for max's..

Ok first off I like the altezza's...
But they don't make them for the 3rd gen max... A couple people on here including me have called a couple companys like APC and have found out that they have no interest in makeing them. You can try to and contact people your self and see if you can get some made or something if you won't more power to you.... If you do find them tell me because I would like some....

I won't post my personal opinon on how ugly they are but...
No one makes them for us. people have tryed to get apc to make them for us but they needed soemting liek 50 people and thats not happning. anywas its not goign to happen. sorry
Oh and do a serch thsi has been brought up befor im jsut responding cuz im trying not to do HW

 

if the case is on the 50 people or whatever wanting them before they WOULD consider making them, then im sure with the THOUSANDS of people that read these posts and would like to have them is enough people to push a few buttons..

I'm with Mikey, Tomo and the "others" when it comes to Altezzas, just don't like 'em.......
as for the "50 people thing" yeah its easy to say 50 people <b>WANT</b> Altezzas, BUT will those 50 people <b>BUY</b> the Altezzas when APC says "we'll make 'em"!? thats the thing if they make Altezzas all 50 people need to send their $200+ to APC at nearly at the same time for them to even considering the plans for it, and then they will make 'em........unfortunately for the fans of Altezzas who want 'em on 3rd gen Maximas......good luck, I just don't see it happening, too little support and MUCH too little demand for it!!

Yeah, I tend to agree with you, da-max. Too little support for that kind of idea. Now, don't get me wrong, if we could get enough people together to get that going, then I'm all for it. I kinda like the Altezza-style tails. But I think we'd have a better chance trying to pull stray hairs from a wildcat's @$$ in a phonebooth than in getting 50 bona-fide people that would spend probably somewhere in the $200 range to get the lights. Heck, I'd be happy if we can get 50 paying people together that want indiglo dashes for the 3rd gen's! (talk to ngthing if interested, BTW)

 

Personally, I don't see myself "Altezzafying" or putting clear lamps on Maxine Vanessa. I like her just the way she is.

Granted, the lights do look good on certain cars, and, if the interest is there, there will be many an Altezzafied 3rd Gen Max. But the catch is how many people want to spend the dough.

As far as indiglo gauges, that might pique my interest.

i don't even want to hear any of you guys call other cars out there "rice"...
IMO they are ugly..but like what the people said..50 is a difficult number to get. a handfull of people like them...and the thousands of people who registered on max.org are not all 3rd gen owners. also APC have little-NO interest in the 3rd gen maximas. we're lucky they make ANYTHING for the 4th gen cars...which to this date there are NO Altezza lighting for them. i wish u good luck on getting APC to do them for 3rd gens.

 

ugh...the altezza's subject again...I was the one that called APC months ago...it takes 1000 tails (500 orders) to offset tooling costs at $250 a set...and why would they make something for a car that's 8-12 years old? They wouldn't because they can make tons more money off Hondas...so the only wasy to go is custom...and if you do it that way, get the skyline R-33's tails...they can be custom fit to our cars.

 

its the demand and APCs perception of the "driver" of Maximas thats shying them away form the idea! there are plenty 8-10 year old Civics/Accords riding around with Altezzas/clear tails, simply for the fact that more "younger, performace 'oriented' people" are driving them, where the earlier model Maxima is <b>"viewed"</b> as a "middle/older aged persons" car(a VERY misconcieved myth!!)and thus APC says we need not waste our time! eventhough that might not be all the way true, thats how APC sees it......though I hate the Altezza look on any car, its sad to see a company shut their doors down on a car since it not considered as BIG a part of the "import movement", but hey thats business for ya!
