There's this lot down the street from me, and from what i hear it's pretty bad when muddy. So my friend is bragging about his Blazer. So i say "pssh, i could go through it". And 2 of my friends are all "no way you'll get stuck and we'll have to pull you out with Chevy power." And i was just like "It's Nissan, it'll pull it's *** out."

So why talk right?
I warm up my car and head down to it. Pull up to the opening and there's 2 ways, to the right i go through mud and behind 7 eleven, to the left i go through mud and a puddle and infront of seven eleven. So i choose the right way and storm through the lot going all over sideways. Turn around and go back. Roll down my window and give my friends the finger. Then my friend says "nut ugh" and points to the puddle. I look at it, and were a good 100 yards away and it looks fairly deep but i can make it.

Turn around and storm back through the mud headed for this puddle, With my friend in the car that was being quiet about the whole thing. Come up on the puddle and realize there's a foot cliff and foot slant going into this damn thing. Slam on my brakes and slide up to it. Damn near didn't have a choice about going in. Slam my car into reverse and spin the front end around. Go to my friends Blazer still parked at the opening and say screw you guys i'm not stupid. And i yell to my friend to go through it with his blazer. He pauses and waits there while i go to the other side. FINALLY he gets the guts and barrels through down into it, then drops another foot and damn near stops, the water was coving his license plate and over his bumper, he gave it some gas and climber up the steep embankment pushing a flow of water into the parking lot that just covered the whole parking lot. And we were off.

that's my story i was bored.
It was cool. Probably not that fun to read about though.

Ooh and later on we drove by and there was an 84 Nissan truck stuck in it. He drowned it and it died, let it sit a minute and started it back up and drove it out in 2wd.

Lol- I also have been offroading in the Maxima. Mine's an 89, and it handles well offroad (you'd be suprised). It is great to go to a muddy place and just let'er rip. If your Max isn't too far from stock (mines pretty much straight out of the box) and you dont have stuff to screw up, give it a try sometime. Its a capable little biatch of a suv.

I had an off-road excursion once.. then the Max spent a month in the shop with $2000 in suspension and frame damage, and another $2000 in bodywork.

off roadin in my old car

before i had a max, i had a 4 wheel drive camry.(lol) man, i always wanted to 4wheel it & it happened.i was in my car where i was muddein up my friends car(chevy pickup) where his truck got stuck. All im sayin is that 4wheelin in my camry is fun. But now that my camry is gone, i got a max, 91 gxe. its better. i like max. I like it better if it had 4 wheel drive.

Ya my car is pretty much stock except for the muffler, the eibachs and all that good stuff are still sitting in my closet.

How'd that jeep grand cherokee do off-road mikey?

Matt what in god's name did you do while off-roading? Don't they classify that under rock climbing not mud bogging?

$20

To begin you used the wrong "their". There is a place, their shows possession.

Yes, I have had my max "off road". I came home with 1/2" of mud coating most of the lower body panels and wheel wells.

My max also made it through the snow storm (blizzard like conditions) we had in WNY 2 days before Thanksgiving. I made it though better than 90% of the suv’s on the road because I know how to drive in the snow.

Nad if you've lowered your max, then don't even think about going offroad...I could barely get up the curb in my 90SE..my92, well it's probably not gonna get lowered..

-shakes head @ Fro-

I'm so sorry Mrs. Skogsberg, I'll rewrite that report immediately and have it on your desk by morning miss. Just please don't give me an F.
Schools over, and I know what there, their, and they're all mean. So if we can please get passed the lecture on verbal skills.

And if you wanna call BS again, I'll take picture of my car covered in Mmud, and the puddle my friend went through. Hell maybe I can talk him into sitting in it while I take a picture, How's that sound? But wait, I forget it's so easy to photoshop mud, and a puddle, and a Blazer sitting in a puddle. Guess I'm must be BS'ing.
sucks

i havent gone muddin in my max but my first car was my moms old car, it was a 84 accord. we use to take it down to the lake and do reverse donuts in shallow mud. last time it snowed i toke my max down to the fair grounds and my friend has a old school bus hood. we got 30 ft rope and tied the hood to the back of my max. well, lets just say its the best way to go sleding.

I use my 89 chevy celebrity wagon for mudding. It has the studded tires on it! I used my parents brand new wrangler once and got yelled at because my freind had the window open and mud got on the interior roof. Its fun but harsh on any vehicle.

My dad wanted to show me some land he was interested in buying one time. He said he could get it for cheap since it was in a flood plain. We started out on a muddy path through a field, the bottom was dragging on the hump in the middle of the path. This is the kinda mud that if you were step in it would suck your shoe off. When we got to the land he wanted, the path ended and it was a hay field with about 6 inches of water in it. The grass was only about a foot high and I could see it ripple in wake created by my car moving through. I went kinda fast cause I was afraid I might get stuck if I went to slow. I was really glad to get back on dry land after that, luckily no water came into the interior.
