Idle Issues

My car has been idling very strangely for the last little while and I've been so busy fixing over stuff on it that I haven't had time to examine this idling issue.
It started acting up after I used some intake cleaner back in September.
1992 GXE with A/T
Here's what it does:
None of these symptoms are temperature related either.
When I start the car it'll idle around 1600rpms. When I'm stopped at a light with the car in gear it idles normally at 700rpms. If I put the car into park or neutral the rpms bounce around in between 1300-2000rpms. Another issue is when I'm driving over 80km/h and take my foot off the gas the rpms will bounce up and
down. This is weird and I'll fix it when I figure out what the hell is going on.
I'm going to replace the IACV, MAF & TPS this weekend hopefully it'll be one of those. Luckily everything will be cheap because I'll get the parts from a wrecking yard.
Anybody got an other ideas as to what might be malfunctioning.

You might want to pick up a FSM or a Chilton's and run through the diagnostics and troubleshooting procedures. It could save you some money instead of using the "replace and pray" method. Good luck.

do many dealerships still carry the fsm for our generation?
i've asked a couple and they say that the fsm isn't being sold anymore.

I just bought a 92 max and it does the EXACT same thing you described.

Did you happen to solve the problem?

Let me know
Mark
