i've got a rusty piece of metal hanging down on the passenger side, right in the middle of the car, its about 15 inches long, and about 3-4 inches wide. That whole area on my car is rusty, on both sides........should i cut it off, or should i find someway to rig it back up in there? and how should i do it?

i'm gonna get it done tomorrow, i just called my friend......a mechanic, and i'm gonna take it to him at noon tomorrow, i'll let y'all know how it went when i get back, thanks anyway

 

It's probably one of the outer metal casings of your exhaust resonator rusting and falling off. I had the outer shell of my OEM muffler rust off and for a while there was a ugly, large sheet of it hanging off of it. I don't know when it fell off, but it eventually did!

 

this is why i like living sumwhere with no snow, my undercarrige doesnt rust bad coz there is no salt. but i feel you, i lived in england and my dads car was messed up
