Temp button

Hi all, l have a 93 Se in great shape except for one thing!
The temperature slide button is hard to move! Its very stiff, its stuck in the cold postition, I am able to move it alittle to the right but thats it! I don't want to force it, being scared it will break.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Take apart you dash and try lubricating the slider. If that fails, just replace the whole unit. I got one from a totalled car for $35.

the rail it slides on is broken. mine's the same way, it only slides fron kinda cold to kinda hot, no more in either direction

I would just buy a used one from a junkyard...

a lot of people have fixed this by just lubing the rails that it slides on with vasoline or something similar and just using a Q-tip to apply it

check out the FAQ pages, this is on Bryan's page
