Need some Help!

i got a 91 and i want to make my rear blinkers white. I bought Polarg Hyper Whites and they work fine but the yellow reflector is still in and i cannot get it out. I guess the 92-94 are easier to do but has anyone done this to a 89-91?

I think it has to do with breaking the orange part off from the inside of the reflector.

well he could always just disconnect all the external lights on the car and drive with night vision goggles!! That would be cool!!! Stupid but cool. Not to mention illegal, so why even bother, just leave them alone and deal. But who am I to judge, leave that up to the real judge that you will be sitting up in front of later on

all i want to know is the easiest way to break the rear reflector off without damaging any of the rear taillights. Sorry, but I don't care what your opinions are on the laws for the turn signals because i've had the same ones in the front for a few months now and have not yet been pulled over!

In illinois at least. You can run clear bulbs up front but not in the rear.
But as Cneary12 stated."who am I to judge, leave that up to the real judge that you will be sitting up in front of later on "

Please dont do it, I mean I love modding cars and all, but it will be like people who dont signal at all. The yellow's are really handy because you know exactly what they mean, its bad enough some cars use the brake lights as turn signals, but to go with white (Reverse), that is going to scare some people I bet. Ever change lanes infront of a cop? I just hope one never notice's it, and if they do, I hope they are too tired to deal with it.

It's hard for any of us NOT to be super-critical in this case. Especially if what you want to do is illegal. But if you REALLY want to go thru with it, what have you tried to do to accomplish this already? And why would you think the 92-94's would be any easier than the 89-91's when they are essentially the same lenses (with the exception of coloring/trim).

I would think you could do the same thing you did with the front, as you did with the rear. But then again, WTF do I know???

Good point, I wasn't even think about that when I said what I said earlier. If he does this mod, first of all he WILL get caught if he is lucky. 1 set of white lights in the midst of 1000 red ones will stand out like a soar thumb in late night rush hour from a long distance away. AND, Forward to reverse at 65 (in the drivers eyes from behind you) WILL end up hurting someone or KILLING SOMEONE!!! I think that he should just suck it up and find something else to spend his life, I mean money on for his car.

I took the orange part out of my tails and have yet to have been pulled over. I turn my signals on all the time in front of cops around here and they haven't pulled me over? I like the white look to them too.

well maybe they don't care in your state or just haven't been paying attention. Or you have just been lucky so far?
