Power Windows Not Working
Your window regulator is out. Nissan, as many other manufacturers do, used a cheap cable driven regulator to lower and raise the window. Its a very common problem on Maximas. You can purchase a replacement regulator/motor(The power window motor is built right in with the regulator) for under $60. If you don't want to do it yourself, any autoglass shop should be able to replace it fairly cheaply. If you do want to do it yourself, its rather straight forward if you have a repair manual.
Try either one of these
remedies,Ive done both Get a piece of wood long enough to wedge under the window to almost all the way down but then you will need another to go across and keep that one in place kinda like a T it will work but get annoing specially when someone shuts the door, you go over bumps.Or you can but the regulator which will run you about 75-99 thru a DEALER....Chack my post in parts for sale NEW REGULATOR
e-mail me if interested

There are write ups
on many sites from members of the board..I believe Craig b has a write up on his site with pics..got to main page click LINKS..clicks MAXIMA OWNER SITES look for CraigB and visit his how to section very usefull stuff and it will save you having to buy a manual...Also for Adam the motor is not included in the pruchase of your regulator..if you can hear the motor working but no movement on the window its just your regulator, also youll never find it for $60 at a dealer not even Courtesy.Im selling a brand new one for $65+p&h still in its warapping with the dealers info on it and all if interested e-mail me .....check around youll see thats a fair price.

Actually, The motor has always been included when I buy a regulator for my car(I have put 1 driver's side and 1 passenger side on my car). I order them from Eagle Automotive, which is a wholesale distributor. My cost is $57.60 per regulator/motor assembly. The motor was riveted to the regulator assembly on the regulators that I purchased. Factory Nissan Regulators may be different, but the ones that went bad in mine were not the originals.
Cursed Nissan and their R&D for regulators anyways!

Power window fall down, get stuck or stop working? It's probably your window regulator. Window regulators are a common failure on 1989 to 1994 Maximas, We've got upgraded regulators from Nissan that are reengineered to last longer!
