Sold the Max, Now Have a Pathfinder Question?
Ok just sold my Max, and Purchased a 95 Nissan Pathfinder with the 3.0 v6 with 73k miles. It has a problem that when it warms up to operating temp after driving and you shift it into park of nuetral the RPMs go upto about 1900 then drop down to about 1500-1600 for like a second then back up to 1900, it keeps doing this fluctuating up and down. The idle shouldnt even be close in that range anyways. So I was just wondering if anyone had an ideas of whats up. Maybe the egr, or vaccum leak. So far I havent had enough time off from work and finals to check it out yet. So please let me know what you think if anyone has had this problem before or knows how to fix it.
P.S I miss my Max already! But I wanted something with 4 wheel drive for the ****ty winters around here. So I stuck with a Nissan atleast.

I had a 95 Pathy for three years and never had this Problem. Mine was an SE 5-speed, though. You probably have a vacuum leak or your TPS is acting up/sticking. Have you cleaned out the TB? Just somewhere to start.
If you really want to handle the winters, I've got some great snow tires for sale, mounted on 95 Pathfinder SE wheels. I drove up into the mountains several times and never got stuck.

I traded the Pathy in on an Infiniti QX4 and the front brakes are bigger -- need 16" wheels instead of 15" so I can't use the wheels and tires.
Good luck with your Pathfinder, I loved mine.

Yeh, The only thing I have done was replace the plugs wires, fuel filter air fiilter. Clean the mass airflow sensor screens since I have bouth it. I Cleaned the throttle boddy on the max when I owned it and it did smooth it out a little. But I had planned on trying that over the weekend when I have some time.
Thanks, I got 235 BFG all terrains on there now, I ran 32" all terrains on my 6" lifted Cherokee in the snow before and they did prety good.
