Shift Lock!!1

Ok, I have had this problem almost since I have had the car. I cannot shift without using the shift lock release tab/button thing. Sometimes when I get in my car, I press down on the brake, and hear it click, telling me that I don't have to use the shift lock, but by instinct I do anyway, and that makes it always have to do it. Is there anyway to override this feature, I don't like having to do this every single time I want to shift out of park!

Pull the fuse. Maybe. Pretty sure there is one for that. Or is that the automatic door lock. Check the cover of your fuse panel.

do you really think pulling the fuse will keep it from locking

it could keep it from working all together if you pull the fuse. meaning it may not unlock when you depress the brake. howeverit could work vise versa. try it , it cant hurt anything...

Doing that will work?

Just a pair of pliers and a little yank to break it will do.
