The car is an Automatic and here is what i am experiencing.

I turn on the car and step on the brake and i press the button on the shifter lever to shift and instead of the gates opening they just click open and close and never allow the gear selector to engage into gear so all i hear is this constant click click click kinda noise coming from the tranny/gear selector as it is not allowing the vehicle to engage into gears thus i cant get the gear selector/shift lever to move into gear.

In order to get the car into gear you have to do it manually as in press that orange button on the bottom of the lever and also may i add that this is very annoying to have to keep doing.

Please help me fix this problem.
