motor fitment questions

im hearing that some 300zx engines fit in the maxima's, mine is a 90......the real question and problem would be a tranny.....need 5 speed......was a big mistake even bying this auto.....but anyway i got a good deal on the car so i thought it wouldnt be that bad......well i was sadly mistaken i hate the junk as.. auto...need a new tranny and my motor is tired anyways so im looking into gettin a 300z twin turbo engine if i can get a tranny to bolt up somewhat easily....any replies appreciated......also maybe someone can tell me what could be wrong with this tranny....the inside of my driver's side axle moves....it seems like it doesnt sit right in the tranny.....and makes a humming noise when i drive....this happen to anybody else.....well thanks for your time.

CV joint might be beat. As for the Z car engine swap, I'll shield you from flames and tell you straight up it can and has and is being done. Not the TT, the single turbo from Z31 cars, not Z32. Yes it will cost you, yes it is feasible, yes, a beefed up auto trans can be used. Your on your own from there. Get educated first, read research and come back with SPECIFIC questions.
