I was just wondering what types of cars everyone has owned in the past or currently owns besides their Maxima. Before I got my 93 Max I drove a 87 Stanza, and I also own a 92 Mitsubishi Diamante.

a) '77 Cutlass w/ 260 cid V8 (1986-1987)
First car I ever owned in life. First car I had stolen and wrecked. Sold after I got it repainted becuase I had people breaking into it the night I got it home.

b) '86 S-10 Blazer 4wd w/ 2.8 L V6 (1992-1995)
I had a ball with this truck. The only mod on this truck was a Sony XRC-210 cassette deck. There were a few firsts with this vehicle. First vehicle I changed radios in, flipped over, vehicle I owned that I took on the highway, first vehicle that I owned that I....well, you get the idea
It died in 1995 due to a major head gasket leak.

c) '88 Caprice Classic w/305 cid V8 (1996-2000)
Mods: K&N Air Filter, Performance Muffler, Clifford Bullet II alarm system, Hood Lock
Planned Mods: PST Polygraphite Front End Kit, BF Goodrich Comp T/A HR4 on the stock steel wheels and wire hubcaps, Hotchkis Swaybars, Eibach Springs. I never took this one on the highway but had a lot of fun with it, nonetheless. I remember beating a couple of Mustangs with it (1 GT, 1 LX 5.0). The first car I ever took to Pep Boys for brakes (will NEVER do that #$@!@%! again), First car I went to the drive-in alone, First car I actually did more than just change the radio. However, it was the 2nd car I owned that got stolen from me and broken into.

1. 88 Nissan Maxima GXE (Charcoal Grey) had 325k miles on it when I sold it, and got $2500 dollars for it.

2. 94 Nissan Maxima SE (White) current, with 151k miles on it and plan on keeping it for sometime. Hope to purchase 98 Maxima SE (red) in the next year.

 

1. 88 Nissan Maxima GXE (Charcoal Grey) had 325k miles on it when I sold it, and got $2500 dollars for it.

first car was my moms since it was 2 years old (had been garaged for a year and a half before we got it). '87 bmw 325 5 speed.
it exploded the sunday after i got my liscense (got it on a thursday)
my current car is an '86 bmw 325 that i'm getting ready to sell in favor of a 3rd gen maxima SE (its gotta be a manual and its gotta have a sunroof, i can deal with anything else)

i had a 72 chevy truck that was in almost perfect condition(rip). now i got a 92 max gxe and i want a camaro. i love the max though. i want one w/ a 5 sp next!

 

Had an '84 Volvo 244 Turbo sedan for awile, **** brown with a dry-rotted interior, limited slip rwd, 4 speed manual + electronic od, 0-60 in 7.5, faster than my Max. In second gear turns, give it too much throttle and kiss your *** goodbye. But, it was an impulse buy that haunts me still, the motor seized up, it sat for a year. I got rid of it when I was living in my Maxima and needed to liquidate my assets.

I have to say that 91 SE is the car I had been dreaming of.
The Toyotas have a cheap feel to them. The interior is cheap looking and does not have the roominess as the Nissan.
The Camry was also harder for me to maintain since every tune-up component was impossible to reach.

The Honda on the other hand was better than the Toyota I had. It had better pick-up and had the legendary Honda power-steering.

But, I love my Maxima which I got in October, 2000. It is super easy to maintain and has great horsepower.

Also, I just like buying Japanese cars. I believe they are better built than American cars.

Just a Red 84 Nissan 200 SX Non-Turbo 5 spd. Awesome car, I loved it. Bus hit it and I decided to give it up as a donation to charity for tax purposes. Still regret it to this day.

My last car, which I still have (it's for sale) is a 5sp 1989 Nissan 240SX - most reliable car I've ever owned, never had any problems in 2 1/2 yrs and 27,000 miles that I've had it; and it has 136,000 on it now.

I've also had an 92 AWD Turbo Eclipse and a 87 Toyota Supra turbo.

'94 Grand Am SE - slowest car ive ever driven. Had the Quad 4 L.O. with 3 spd auto. 0-60 in 10.

'89 Beretta GT - 2.8L V6 with 3 spd auto. This car was a sleeper with no catty on it. Wrecked it 6 days after i got it. i loved that car and i think i was sick to my stomach for like 2 weeks.

'92 Bereta GT - 3.1L V6 with 3 spd auto. I had this one longer, but it wasnt fast enough.

'95 Beretta Z26 - 3100 (3.1) V6 with 4 spd auto. This car was a serious looker. Bright red, gfx with 16" rims i got a lot of looks with this car. But she got too expensive and still not fast enough.

'91 Maxima SE - My current pride and joy. I love this car. For being a cheap college car, this is way more than i ever expected. Leather, sunroof, power everything, what more could i ask? it needs a little work (power window motors are a little weak and the passenger side back window doesnt stay up on its own)

Yeah, i was crazy about berettas. I still love em, but daddys got a brand new bag.

91 supra turbo had the mod bug with the corolla so i modded that.... tuner parts were only from hks and trust....
a turbo timer back then was only 45 bucks had the car up to stage 4 before it hit a wall i wasnt driving....

'85 Volvo 245 DL Wagon -- This tank was silver, with a few rust holes. Other than those, the paint was rather good. It was RWD with a 4 speed manual tranny with electronic 5th OD. This thing screwed! 2.4L 4cyl w/ 114hp. I ran awesome until the clutch blew. Oh well, it had no heat and the back door was on its way out.

'93 Altima GXE -- Blue Jade. This was my mother's car and I drove it around as my own for a while. I liked it at the time. It was a great 1st and a half car. Dad now drives it. Has 138k on it an it need 1qt of oil every two weeks.

'89 Volkswagen Fox GTI -- Loved this car! Brick red w/ 4 spd manual transmission. These cars were never made with A/T!! had it for 2 years, It didnt go over 50 when I first got it, but after a while it got quick with a little work. I was beating 85-91 3series with this car and some accords (dont know how). I drove it 300 miles a week and just wouldnt last. Pretty good for a $650 car!

'91 Maxima SE -- Got this car December of 99 w/ 96k on it while I still had my VW until april when my dad sold it. Max is the fastest and best ride out of all of them. I wont give this car up for a while. This is my favorite car out of all of them, although I liked my VW a lot. I plan on keeping it until 300k, I now have 132k since January 00 when it had 96k.
