a couple concerns????????

ok so i know winter is bearing down on us and if your max is anything like mine, it hates the winter! i have yet to take my rims off so she sux in the snow, also i have notice the car seems very sluggish???? not sure why? i know i have aleak in the exhaust comming from inside the engine.. its comming from the back of the manifold like closest to the windhield...that i think is my biggest problem concerning lose of power.. also my tranny seems to be sticking a little???? so i was thinking of flushing the tranny but i heard from a few people that with tranny's that have over 100k mile on them that it isnt good to flush??? so i bought a bottle of the lucas tranny fluid and am goin to add that.

unno mine runs better in the winter providing that i can get the tires to stick!!! When i punch it, it has alot more pep in the winter. I think u need a tune up , i know alot of other guys who feel the same about winter and there max's if u have it tuned properly and its not in the 300,000 range then u should see an increase in power in the winter more dencer air = more power!!

From: Skokie (look it up)
The car should have more power in the cold
I would start going throught the car to look for problems. Probably something electrical

ok so i noticed that the power decrease is not that signifigant. i used the lucas tranny saver and that has worked well since i put it in..another concern i failed to mention is my front suspension!!,my ride is horrible when i go over bumps it hits hard and at high speeds the car feels like its on water just floating down the highway???? also when i stop the wheels just move freely? could this be the control arms? or are my struts shot?

does your tranny get better after the car has been driven for a while? your tranny temp sensor might be going.
