i have the Z32 calipers but whats the difference on the 30mm and the 26mm??? i really don't know which version i have. all i know is that the junkyard that sold it to me told me its from a '91 or '92 300ZX not sure if it was TT or not. how would i know if its either version??? i still have to get the brackets and lines from either Matt93SE or if not from Jeff92SE. now i barely do hard braking but i would want to know which one would be better and this is to Matt and Jeff: for Matt i still want the brackets and lines and also use the '04 Maxima rotors but now Jeff is using the '98 Cobra rotors and custom lines with hub rings and the brackets. my question is which would be better. i really don't care much of the pricing i just want to know which would be better to have??? now i haven't done this because i've been fixing countless problems with my car which im almost done fixing everything on this car of mine.

That's the 1,000,000 question becasue they both have their pros and cons. I think it pretty much comes down to preference.

MIKE

EDIT: check out this pic to see which caliper you have

If that is a Cobra BBK it's good to see there's more wheel options that clearing the kit, especially stock wheels.

There are alot of stock wheels that clear now. G and Z wheels for one. Just didn't think the Murano wheels would.

Well, not "exactly", but it is a cheap and temporary solution. and yes, they are jeff92se's Cobra bbk

Here are some more pics of the set up, oh and one more thing, 26mm version of the z32 calipers DO fit cause according to the measurment form
http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm i have the 26mm aluminum calipers and they clear the 13" Cobra rotors just fine.

I believe you might be mistaken. I have a 26mm calipers and they do not clear. If you have a vernier caliper available or a metric ruler measure the inside channel of the caliper and see what you get. I got 1.035" which equals just over 26.2mm

This is what happen when I tried my 26mm caliper. The rotor was touching the inside of the caliper.

The Cobra rotors measure just over a 1"

300zx tt calipers

Man, it's a wonder you can find those calipers anymore. I used to have a Merkur XR4Ti. Their hot brake set-up is Contour SVT rotors/Mustang GT (aluminum dual-piston) calipers. Then a guy put Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo calipers (four-piston alloy) on his car, for the same $100/pr. (used) price. Everybody's after these things. I take it you used Mustang Cobra rotors because 300ZXs have a diff. bolt pattern (newbie alert)?

No, 300ZXs have a BBK that utilize the Cobra rotors. Z32 rotors are pretty small.
