How to remove digi climate control

I want to take my digital climate control unit out to replace the light bulbs, but I can't figure out how to get it out of the dash. I got as far as removing the 4 screws that hold it in, and I can get it to move around inside the dash, but there seem to be screw brackets holding it back from fitting through the opening. Do you have to twist/turn it at all, or am I just retarded?

If I remember correctly, you remove radio / cupholder stack & push climate control unit back and down into the same space, then you'll need to twist it to pull it out thru the opening. Bulb holders at at bottom rear of the unit.
You don't have to be too gentle as all connectors are electrical - no cables.
Good luck

DAng it if nismobaron is right imma shoot myself, cause I almost took apart my entire dashboard just to get that dayam thing out. I had to unscrew the 2 screw cover screws on each side of the console. Shift out those 2 big pieces just to move the entire middle piece enuff for me to get the climate control out of that lil hole.

it is even easier than that. You can take it out without taking the radio out. Simply take the 4 screws out and push it back a little...tilt it a little sideways and pull it out the same hole its in. It does have one cable thats on the side (fresh air thingy)

here are some pics I took a while back to show the location of the bulbs:

awsm66 is right - you don't have to remove radio stack, although it's one way! I forgot about that fresh air cable (I replaced all my bulbs a while's ago...) - you can see how it's been unscrewed off the right-hand side. After that, just tilt it back 90 degrees & pull it thru the hole.

Wish I had the airbag steering wheel 'cause cruise control buttons are in a much better place (wasn't even offered as an option in NZ )
