rear shocks???

ok i've had my rear shocks blown for almost 2 years now and im about to replace them with either kyb's or tokicos. a shop is selling the kyb's for $46 each and another shop is selling the tokicos for $119 each. the thing is that i need to know if its a cartridge or the whole strut/shock thing?? the guys told me that the kyb's for the rear r the cartridges and not a shock so im confused??? i have a '93 gxe with rotors in the back and abs.

rears are cartridges. You get the shocks, and insert them into your existing rear struts. Try www.shox.com. Those prices on Tokicos seem way outa line.

Also, I think KYB's are waaaayyyy to soft. Good construction, but do yourself a favor and get the Tokico.

Yes, if you have all the tools and have never done anything like that before it will take about 5 hours. 3 1/2 for the first one, and 1.5 for the other.
